How to get Twitch Drops: link, watch, claim

Updated October 14, 2026

Twitch Drops are free in-game rewards that game makers give to people who watch their game on Twitch. You watch a stream that has drops on for long enough, claim the reward on Twitch, and it shows up in your game. Here's how to get every one.

See what's live right now

  1. Find a campaign that's live

Each campaign runs for a set time and lists its rewards and how long to watch for each. Our live drops page shows every Twitch campaign running right now, with the watch time and end date for each reward.

  2. Link your game account first

Many games only deliver drops to an account linked to your Twitch account. Link it before you start watching, from the game's own website (the campaign's page on Drop Lookout has the link when a game needs one). Watching first and linking later can mean the reward doesn't count.

  3. Watch a stream that counts

Watch a live stream of the game that has drops on: open the game's category on Twitch and look for streams with the Drops enabled tag. Some campaigns only count on certain streamers; the campaign lists them. Watch time only builds while that streamer is live.

  4. Keep watching until the reward unlocks

Standard rewards usually take 15 to 30 minutes of watching, and bigger ones can take several hours. Some campaigns unlock rewards in a chain, one after another. A few need a subscription instead of watch time.

  5. Claim it on Twitch

When a reward is ready, open your profile picture menu and go to Drops & Rewards (the Drops inventory), then press Claim. Unclaimed rewards don't reach your game.

  6. Open your game

Claimed rewards are delivered by the game, not by Twitch. Most show up within minutes; some games say it can take up to 24 hours.

Questions

What counts as watching?

You have to be watching a live, eligible stream while logged in to Twitch. Watch time only counts while that streamer is live and streaming the game.

How long do I have to claim a drop?

Claim as soon as it's ready. Game makers have to honour claims for at least 14 days after a campaign ends, but some campaigns are stricter, so don't wait.
